The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating individuals responsible for the theft of a new solar-powered LED flashing stop sign.

On July 17, the Kosciusko County Highway Department reported the stop sign was stolen. The stop sign had been recently installed south of Warsaw at the intersection of County Farm Road and CR 300S. A portion of the stop sign was paid for by a local resident.

Although there have been several news stories about the theft, police have not received any additional investigative leads. Crime Stoppers is now offering an enhanced reward for information leading to the recovery of the sign and/or credible information about those responsible for the theft.

Anyone with information concerning this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-342-STOP. Crime Stoppers will pay for information that leads to an arrest or indictment. Crime Stoppers also pays cash rewards on other felony crimes and the capture of fugitives.

When you call, you will be assigned a code number, and you will not be asked for your name.
