October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Monarch Medical Esthetics, 738 E. CR 200N, Warsaw, is offering people to get Botox and other similar anti-aging treatments at a discounted rate, and the business will donate a portion to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
“My mother is a breast cancer survivor. During COVID, my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer, and my colleague, Dr. Lori Zimmerman, lost her mother to breast cancer, so this issue is close to our hearts,” Moore said. “The Centers for Disease Control warns breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, no matter their race or ethnicity, so research and awareness are super important. We figure that we can do a fun event to help people look their best and give back at the same time.”
Billed the “Botox for Boobies” event, interested people can visit the Warsaw office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. According to Moore, one in eight women are diagnosed with breast cancer. The event Friday is for men and women.
“In this time of stress, it’s good for people to treat themselves to a little pampering and self-improvement and knowing they are helping raise funds for research gives them something to feel positive about as well,” she said.
