Winona Literary Club Met

WINONA LAKE – The first meeting of the Winona Literary Club’s fall season met Sept. 23 at the Robin Hood Community Center with 16 members and six guests present.

The club’s speaker was Anna Jackson, librarian from Warsaw Community Public Library. She shared many of the over 200,000 items available to be checked out, not just books. She also shared many educational programs available.

A business meeting consisted of minutes, the financial report and courtesy reports. Refreshments were served.

The next will be Wednesday with music presented by harpist Anna Hagan.



Thursday Bridge Club Met

The Thursday Bridge Club met at Richard’s Restaurant with Leigh Watkins as Hostess.

Winners were Bob Mayer, Leigh Watkins and Paulene Holderman.

SYRACUSE – David Hoover, 67, Milford, died Oct. 18, 2024. He was born May 18, 1957, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Raymond and Nona Kuhn Hoover. David married Randa Zink on Sept. 23, 1983; she survives.
