Born March 22, 1959, in Cherry Grove, Mich., she was the one of eight children, born to Ron and Beverly Todd.
On Dec. 10, 1977, she married Eugene A. Arrington Jr. in Michigan. Phoebe and Eugene moved to Indiana in 1979 to begin their life together following his service in the Air Force.
Phoebe became a full-time homemaker after working several jobs around Warsaw, including at Grace Village and Goodwill. After helping take care of her siblings growing up, her passion of serving others became deeply rooted in her life and purpose. Her greatest joys included helping others, cooking expansive meals and celebrating holidays and events with loved ones. She was also known to craft immaculate cards for any occasion as well as beautiful wood decor pieces. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, like sitting out on her back patio with her husband, calling her children on the phone or traveling on a vacation with her friends and enjoying an order of all-you-can-eat shrimp.
Surviving relatives include her mother, Beverly; seven brothers and sisters husband, Eugene Jr.; and children, Eugene (Becca) Arrington III and Hannah Arrington.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband and two children. She will forever be missed and remembered for her kind heart and passion for being there for others.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ron.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, Dec. 12 at The VIC, 110 N. Buffalo St., Warsaw, from noon to 4 p.m. Temperatures will be taken at the door and masks are required.
The family vehemently requests that guests stay home if they are not feeling well or have been near someone who has not felt well to keep everyone safe.
