NORTH WEBSTER – Frances Ann “Fran” Bowser, 83, of North Webster, passed away at 11:09 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, 2020, at her daughter’s home in Milford.

She was born on May 2, 1937, in Warsaw, to Cyril Francis “Bus” and Myrtle F. Beezley Likens.

She was a lifetime North Webster area resident and attended North Webster High School. She was married on Sept. 25, 1954, in Decatur, to Douglas D. “Doug” Bowser Sr., who preceded her on Jan. 9, 2017. She retired in December 2007 as office manager for the North Webster Church of God after 29 ½ yrs. She was a co-owner of Bowser U-lock Storage Units and formerly ran a property management company in North Webster. After retirement, she worked as a greeter for Owen family Funeral Home in North Webster.

She was a member of the Church of God and Lakeland Kiwanis both in North Webster. She was a former member of the Backwater Friends Home Economics Club and former treasurer for the North Webster Area Community Food Pantry for 20 years.

She is survived by two daughters: Roberta “Bobi” (David) Doll, of Milford; and Barbara “Barb” (Ken) Brauer, of Millport, Ala.; three sons: Douglas “Doug” Bowser Jr., of Syracuse; Mark Bowser, of North Webster; Barton                “Bart” (Elizabeth) Bowser, of Midland, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Dixie) Likens, of North Webster.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two grandsons: Andrew Bowser and Charles Preston Towriss; and brother, Edward Likens.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 27. at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28 at the Church of God, 301 N. Main St., North Webster, with Pastor Jeff Boyer officiating. The funeral can be seen via livestream at https://nwcog.org/funerals/.  Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw. Private family burial will take place in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
