Whitko Announces Nov. Students Of The Month

Claire Brandenburg – Whitko Jr./Sr. School – senior high nominee
Brandenburg is creative, kind, and has an amazing work ethic. She strives for excellence in her work. Brandenburg was nominated by teacher Molly Long.
Trevor Freel – Whitko Jr./Sr. School - junior high nominee
Freel has a great sense of humor, and a super positive outlook on life in general. He is comfortable being himself, not to mention being a good student. He was nominated by teacher Mike Hanback, according to a news release from WCSC.
Brooke Schroeder – Whitko Career Academy
Schroeder is a sophomore but presents herself in a mature way that if you weren't aware you would assume she is a senior, stated the release. She is a spectacular student and excellent example to other students.
Schroeder consistently communicates high expectations of herself and encourages positivity among her peers. She always does what is asked of her without complaint. She also enthusiastically volunteers for anything that comes up. She helps struggling classmates without being asked. She is respectful, kind-hearted and has a work ethic that is to be admired. Schroeder displays a strong sense of integrity and leadership in all she does. Schroeder was nominated by teacher Tammy Coyle-Walter.
Garrett Senger – South Whitley Elementary School
Senger is a great example of a student leader at South Whitley Elementary. Senger always works hard, participates in class and makes sure everyone feels included, stated the release. If a classmate is struggling, he is always one of the first to offer help. He comes to school each day with a smile on his face and ready to learn. Senger was nominated by teacher Jessica Long.
Avery Shively – Pierceton Elementary School
Shively is a very friendly classmate. He is always the first one to volunteer to help others in the class. Shively follows directions right away, always works hard on tasks given to him and always has a smile on his face. He was nominated by teacher Jasmine Baum, according to the release.
