Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Lake City Restoration, 306 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Wednesday.

Owner David Sanner said the Lake City Restoration was open for business the second week of September.

According to the company’s website, Lake City Restoration offers fire restoration, water loss, mold mitigation, storm recovery and biohazard cleanup services.

Sanner said the business is an emergency service provider. He said, “If you have a flooded basement or if you had a fire in your house and you need someone to come in and board it up” or start the process of demolition after a fire or smoke damage before putting the house back to where it was.

“It’s very much an emergency-style type thing,” Sanner said.

Sanner said 50% to 60% of his business is probably correcting water damage, where there’s a leak, pipes breaking or a sink overflowed and “before you know it, there’s water every where.” They also deal with fire damage. The business also has a lot of business from lakefront properties removing mold, whether that’s in the attic or basement. “That’s a pretty labor intensive work load, as well,” he said.

Lake City Restorations also do biohazard work. If there’s a death in a house, the coroner’s office or the police aren’t the ones who actually clean up. Sanner said that’s where his employees come in.

Some of the nonemergency type of services the businesses provides is carpet cleaning.

The regular office hours are 8:30 a.m to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Services are 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Sanner said someone always answers the phone  and, generally speaking, within 30 minutes, someone can be on site. “We make a commitment to be there within an hour,” Sanner said. Lake City Restoration’s office number is 574-385-9111.

Sanner said his businesses services who ever needs the services and has business as far away as approximately the west part of Fort Wayne.
