Tigers, Warriors, Curtis Earn 2020 NLC?Accolades

Nine Warsaw Tiger gridders and three Wawasee Warriors were named to the All-Northern Lakes Conference (NLC) football team. Additionally, Tiger head coach and Hall-of-Famer, Bart Curtis, earned Co-Coach of The Year for the 2020 football season.
The six Warsaw NLC first-teamers were seniors Luke Adamiec (SE/DB), Aaron Greene (QB), Juan Jaramillo (B-back), Mason Martz (Safety), and Caden Silveus (CB) along with junior A-back Julius Jones. Jaramillo also earned first-team honors as a junior in 2019.
The two Warriors earning the league’s first-team honors were senior Kameron Salazar (S/WR), and junior Dominick Blair (RB/LB).
Honorable mention recipients for Warsaw were Seniors Zach DeFord (LB), Colton Wampler (K), and Patrick Zollinger (A-back. Wawasee’s Nathan Larson (junior), a first teamer in 2019 as a sophomore, was Wawasee’s single honorable mention for 2020.
Mishawaka, tied for first place with Warsaw and 5A Sectional 10 champs, placed six first teamers on the list along with three honorable mentions. Cavemen head coach Keith Kinder earned co-Coach of The Year Honors along with Warsaw’s Curtis. Kinder was the team’s offensive coordinator before taking the Cavemen’s reins subsequent to Curtis taking the helm for the Tigers in 2018.
Other conference teams in order of regular season finish include Northridge, third place in the NLC, earning four first team nods along with three honorable mentions. NorthWood followed (fourth place, four and two), Concord (fifth place, three and two), and Plymouth (sixth place) and Goshen (8th place) each earning two first teamers and one honorable mention, respectively.
The honors are awarded after all NLC members complete their post-season journeys.
