MILFORD – James “Jim” Henry Henderson, 73, of Milford, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

Jim was born in Marion on May 2, 1947, to Elmer Henry and Velma Ellen Goble Henderson.

Jim married Suzette Krall in Gas City on May 17, 1969. She survives.

Jim joined the United States Army right out of high school, where he honorably served during Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion and the Milford United Methodist Church. Jim enjoyed meeting the guys from work for breakfast at Richard’s Restaurant in Warsaw, traveling, camping at Lukens Lake Resort, riding his motorcycle and tinkering on things. He could fix just about anything. He loved spending time with friends and family.  

Jim is survived by his wife of 53 years, Suzette; three children: Betsy Small, of Pierceton; Joseph H. Henderson, of Milford; and Jamie Mason; seven grandchildren: Ashley, Ezra, Cody, Jessica, Katie, David and Dalton; and a great-granddaughter, Bella. Also surviving are his brother, Mike (Donna) Henderson, of Gas City; and his sister, Becky (Rick) Harris, also of Gas City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard Henderson; and a grandson, Cameron Nichols

Visitation will be today, Nov. 13 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Milford.

A funeral service is planned for Saturday, Nov. 14 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Rob Nelson is officiating the service, with burial following at Milford Cemetery, where military rites will be rendered by the American Legion Post 226 and members of the United States Army.

Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center is entrusted with Jim’s care.
