Wilma was born in Auburn on March 28, 1938, to Lewis and Lela Mable Ridenour Hogan.
She and Bruce Searfoss had been together since 1957. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1993.
Wilma was a homemaker. She also worked at GTI Ditronics in Leesburg and then at Da-Lite Screen Company in Warsaw, retiring in 2006. She was a member of Auburn Moose Chapter 261 and the American Legion Post 253 Ladies Auxiliary in North Webster. She was an avid card player and she was very proud that she had recently voted for the first time in a very long time.
Wilma was a quiet person but when she had something to say, it was important and people would listen. She was a loving friend and coworker, and she still got together with her friends once a month for lunch. The most important thing to Wilma was her family. She was a wonderful mom, G-ma, great-G-ma and great-great-G-ma!
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sally Searfoss, of Leesburg; granddaughter, Nikki Searfoss, of Fort Wayne; grandson, Brad Searfoss, of Fort Wayne; nine great-grandchildren: Sydney, Chloe, Isaac (Rylee), Mikah (Ayla), Nitaljia, Laynee, Layla, Neylie and T.J.; two great-great-grandchildren: Winnie and Carson; and sister, Virginia Hansen, of Auburn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bruce Searfoss; two sisters: Margaret and Pat; and five brothers: Larry, Wendell, Darl, Russell and Richard.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 S. Center St., Auburn.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Mock Cemetery in Leesburg.
