By Staff Report-

It is with heavy hearts that the Wheels On Fire – Cancer Crusaders team has cancelled most of their fundraising events until September, according to a news release Thursday from the organization.

This also means that Wheels On Fire has cancelled its main event, Smash Out Cancer, which was scheduled to be held Aug. 22.

“We do that for the health and safety for everyone involved. Our goal has always been and continues to be to raise funds for the Kosciusko and Fulton Counties Cancer Care Funds to help those going through the rough times of cancer,” the release states.

The organization will continue to monitor the situation and is looking for new and exciting ways to raise funds for cancer patients. It plans to resume fundraising in September.

Follow Wheels On Fire on Facebook under Wheels on Fire – Cancer Crusaders to see when and where it may be having an event.

“We are so thankful for the past support of our community,” the release states.

If you care to donate to the team, make checks payable to BDUMC and mail to Beaver Dam UM Church, 9798 W 1000 S, Akron, IN 46910. Mark it for Wheels on Fire.
