By Staff Report-

Francine’s Friends Mobile Mammography will be offering breast screenings in Warsaw on June 8.

The mobile coach will be located in the Parkview Warsaw YMCA parking lot at 1305 Mariners Drive.

Safety precautions including screenings and temperature checks will be in place and no one other than the patient will be allowed in the coach. The schedule will allow extra time between patients to conduct additional cleaning of the coach and equipment, and patients will be required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Appointments are preferred and may be made by calling 260-483-1847 or 800-727-8439, ext. 68120. Walk-ins  are welcome, but appointments will take priority.

The mobile mammography unit offers breast screenings performed by the Breast Diagnostic Center (BDC). For women who have insurance, the BDC will bill the insurance company. If the patient does not have insurance but has the ability to pay, the BDC offers a reduced rate if paid the day of screening. For women without insurance or the resources to pay, or those who have a high deductible, funding may be available.
