I support Dr. Chris Magiera, who is running for the U.S. House of Representatives in the Third Congressional District.

Dr. Magiera has been studying the U.S. Constitution for years, and has designed a concrete 12-step program to return the federal government to the size envisioned by our Founding Fathers (you can view this on the Dr. Chris Magiera for Congress Facebook page).

Dr. Magiera believes all federal firearms laws are unconstitutional, and is opposed to red flag laws. Dr. Magiera is pro-life and, as a medical doctor, is uniquely qualified to explain why an unborn infant is a human being, not just a "clump of cells." Dr. Magiera believes in securing our borders in order to stop the influx of uninvited migrants.

Enough of policy. Would you like to know the human side of Dr. Magiera? Chris and I met in college in 1973 and were married in 1978. Chris started working when he was 15, when he ran the local movie theater in the small town where he was raised. I have seen him mature from a hard-working student, working factory jobs to put himself through college, into a dedicated physician. Chris cares deeply for his family, his patients and every living creature he meets. Years ago we had an elderly Labrador Retriever, and Chris nursed him through several years of ill heath, getting up at 4 a.m. every morning for many months in order to get in the long walks needed to maintain the dog's strength.

And that is Chris' approach to everything – complete commitment! Although some doctors can be a challenge to work with, Chris faces his long work days with humor, so doctors and nurses enjoy working with him. Chris has had to deliver bad news to sick people, and he has done so with honesty and kindness. Chris will apply honesty, integrity and wisdom to political office. It is in Chris' character to care for people, and if elected to be your U.S. Representative, he will care for you!

Please vote for Dr. Chris Magiera for Congress on June 2!
