John and Julia Swihart Baker, Warsaw, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Thursday.

They were married May 28, 1960, at Mentone First Baptist Church.

John is retired from RR Donnelley. Julia is a homemaker.

The couple have six children: Deb Baker, Fort Wayne; Lou Ann Acton (Del), Sandpoint, Idaho; Dawn Gunter (Robert), Warsaw; and Matt Baker (Heidi), Mentone; with two sons deceased.

The couple have 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

They are celebrating with a family dinner.
