The Kosciusko REMC board of directors named Kurt D. Carver as the cooperative’s president and chief executive officer.

He was previously manager of engineering and operations for KREMC and assumed the role from Bruce Goslee, who retires Saturday.

“I am honored to have been selected as the next CEO of Kosciusko REMC,” said Carver. “I have committed my career to serve the members of this cooperative, and I’m eager to continue supporting our community in this new role.”

Carver has more than 40 years of experience with KREMC. He began his career as a groundman and grew within the company holding the roles of lineman, lead lineman, operations supervisor and, his most recent role, manager of engineering and operations.

Carver is a graduate of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s Robert I. Kabat Management Internship Program. This executive education program was designed to train the next generation of leaders in all facets of managing and leading the electric cooperative, according to a news release from KREMC.

“We welcome Kurt’s leadership and experience,” said KREMC Board President Bill Stump. “His past dedication and work ethic for the cooperative is a solid indication of his future ability to lead and make sound decisions for Kosciusko REMC. We are excited to have Kurt as our new chief executive officer.”
