Warsaw Man Sentenced For Child Porn

SOUTH BEND – A Warsaw man was sentenced in the United States District Court Tuesday for possession of child pornography.

According to a news release from U.S. Attorney Thomas L. Kirsch II, Jonathan Roberts, 33, Warsaw, was sentenced before U.S. District Court Judge Damon R. Leichty and given 63 months in prison, five years of supervised release and ordered to pay $20,000 in restitution.

In August 2017, Roberts possessed a cellphone that contained videos and images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Roberts later admitted that the images were child pornography.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations and the Federal Bureau of Investigations. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney John Maciejczyk.
