No July First Friday; August Is Cruise-In

June 23, 2020 at 9:43 p.m.

There will be no First Friday in July due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the veterans celebration scheduled for the First Friday in July has been moved to 2021.

However, First Friday co-coordinator Paula Bowman said The Quarantine Car Cruise-In is being planned for the First Friday in August, from 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 7.

“It’s on as long as the (coronavirus) numbers behave themselves,” Bowman said.

Social distancing and all other precautions will be taken.

Along with the cruise-in, the band Speakeasy will perform classic rock on center stage from 7 to 9 p.m. Downtown Warsaw restaurants and shops will be open.

There will be no silent auction, prizes or judging for the cruise-in and it’s limited to cars and trucks.

More information will be forthcoming in the next few weeks, Bowman said.
