By Staff Report-

Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club has partnered with several local companies to provide a 2020 prom event for juniors and seniors from the 2019-20 class.

The event is scheduled for 6 to 11 p.m. July 12 at Hansen's Eastlake Skating Center, 3010 Frontage Road, Warsaw.

"The Optimist Club has stepped up to be a title sponsor for this event and we are so grateful for their support in allowing this opportunity for these kids. As adults, I think we all remember how special prom was for us during our years in school. It is outstanding to have the support of those in the community to bring this event to our kids," said event coordinator Trace Hansen. "In an effort to make this event cost friendly for everyone, it is an all-inclusive prom event for one price. Businesses that have joined the effort to bring this event to our community at a low price include Jamie Plack Photography, Shawnanigans Catering, Bartel Printing, Male Fashions, GLAM! boutique and Eastlake Skating Center."

Tickets are available online at Warsawoptimist.org or during business hours at Male Fashions, GLAM! and Eastlake Skating Center. The cost is $30 per individual ticket, which includes social hour, a plated dinner with table service, a complimentary traditional prom digital picture, dancing and fun, according to a news release from the Optimists. Additional prom photos, poses, group pictures and more will be available.

Male Fashions is offering $99 standard black tuxedo rentals ordered through July 6 for this event.

"By doing the event on a Sunday, we are hoping families are able to enjoy the day together preparing for this fun event, taking traditional family pictures and having the necessary time to cherish this special day for these students," Hansen said.

Prepurchase is required and space is limited to 350 students, which is expected to sell out quickly. Students from county high schools are permitted to purchase tickets, ID will be checked at the door, and no date over 20 will be permitted.

For those wanting to attend but cannot afford the cost, contact [email protected] as a limited number of scholarships are available for 2020 graduates.

If interested in donating for centerpieces, beverages, desserts or have any questions, email as well.
