Elkhart County Homicide Unit Investigating Nappanee Shooting

According to Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney Vicki Becker, at 12:16 a.m. Saturday Nappanee Police Department officers were dispatched to 170 Meadows Mobile Home Park in reference to a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Thomas Campion, 45, La Paz, dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
A second victim, age 29, from Nappanee, was taken by ambulance to Elkhart General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, where he was treated and released.
After officers secured the scene, they contacted the Elkhart County Homicide Unit. A forensic autopsy was performed at the Home Stryker School of Medicine located on the campus of Western Michigan University and it was determined Campion died of multiple gunshot wounds.
There have been no arrests made and this is considered an ongoing investigation.
