Rev. Marvin 'Hank' Lowman

MENTONE – Rev. Marvin “Hank” Lowman, 84, of Burket, passed at 9:41 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2020, at Grace Village Retirement Community of Winona Lake.

He was born on Jan. 28, 1936, in Wells County, to the late Earl and Veta Bowen Lowman. He married on Sept. 25, 1953, in Burket, to Sue A. Tucker. She survives.

He had been the pastor for Cook’s Chapel Church for 32 years and drove a school bus for Tippecanoe Valley for 30 years. In years past, he had been the assistant superintendent for Jomac Products Company.

Moving from Fort Wayne in elementary school, he then graduated from Burket High School in 1953. He served as a Scout Master for many years in Burket. He was an avid camper and enjoyed camping.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Lowman, of Burket; daughter, Connie and husband John Kaiser, of Winona Lake; sons: John and wife Gloria Lowman, of Burket; and Tom and wife Melody Lowman, of Jackson Center, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Veta Lowman; and sisters Barbara Campbell and Patricia Donaway.

A celebration of his life is being planned for a later date. His remembrance will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. The arrangements are entrusted to King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone.
