Mirissa Michelle DiVaccaro, of Winona Lake, sadly passed away at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne at the age of 28. She tragically passed away from severe complications during childbirth.

Mirissa was born on June 10, 1992, in Warsaw, and was a 2011 graduate of Warsaw Community High School. She was married on Dec. 17, 2016, to Vincent David DiVaccaro, the love of her life.

She worked at Mutual Bank in Warsaw, and for the past six years, she worked at Silveus Financial in Warsaw. She recently left her employment to become a full-time mother.  She enjoyed quiet nights at home, but she also enjoyed taking off on unplanned adventures with her husband. Mirissa was compassionate, strong willed and deeply cared about doing the right thing, even when no one was looking. She was very family oriented and was looking forward to being a mom to her newborn daughter, Cecelia. Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Mirissa left an undeniable footprint on everyone’s hearts and will be dearly missed and forever loved.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Vincent David DiVaccaro, and their beautiful daughter, Cecelia Josephine DiVaccaro, Winona Lake. She also leaves behind her parents, James and Brenda Prater, Warsaw; two brothers: Josh (Brittany) Prater, Warsaw; Zach Webb, Warsaw; and her sister, Matraca (Andrew) Thrasher, Frisco, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 31 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.

Mirissa’s life will be celebrated with a service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastors Luis and Karla Quiroz. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.

Due to the current guidelines regarding public gatherings because of the COVID-19 virus and safety concerns, please use good judgment in determining the length of your visit or if you should attend. If 6 feet of social distancing is not maintained, then masks are required for the visitation and service. There will be no congregating in the parking lot.
