By Staff Report-

Warsaw Community Schools released distance learning information for elementary, middle and high school levels.

The program is designed for students who are at-risk due to health conditions or have unique needs due to COVID-19, according to a news release from WCS. Information posted on the school website includes details about attendance, assessments, learning platforms, requirements and technology.

Parents interested in this option will need to register their child through the traditional route for a returning student, new student or kindergarten student. Once registration is complete, parents will complete a Google form. All information pertaining to registration is posted on the WCS district website at www.warsawschools.org under the Parent menu option to Enroll/Register. Registration for distance learning must happen by July 27. Also featured on the WCS district website registration page are the WCS Infographic Reopening Plans for elementary and secondary schools.

Parents are encouraged to look for updates on the infographic as WCS is continually monitoring and responding to emerging health guidance from local and state authorities.

Distance learning curriculum will be limited and cannot mirror the full curriculum or experience of in-person instruction. Students participating in distance learning will not be able to participate in extracurricular activities.
