NORTH WEBSTER – Larry Allen Barrett, 75, of North Webster, passed away at 1:20 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2020, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

He was born on April 4, 1945, in Chicago Heights, Ill., to Norman V. and Alice A. Kieper Barrett.

He graduated in 1963 from Bloom Township High School in Chicago Heights and moved to the North Webster area in 1965 from Chicago Heights, Ill. He was married on July 30, 1976, in Columbia City, to Sharon Marie Galbreath Lawrence, who preceded him on Jan. 27, 2017.

He retired from Dana Corporation (formerly Weatherhead) in Columbia City after 34 years. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster, former member of the North Webster Fire Department and Lakeland Snowmobile Club and was raised in the Lutheran Church.

He is survived by son, Tim (Kathryn Loehr) Barrett, of North Webster; stepdaughter, Sherri Conley, of Cromwell; stepson, Michael Lawrence, of Milford; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie Wisdom, of California; Beverly (Stanley) Anderson, of Steger, Ill.; and Noriene Jones, of Leesburg; stepsister, Denise (Jeff) Lanman, of Lewisville; and two stepbrothers, Danny (Teresa) Barrett, of Middletown; and Duane (Mary) Barrett, of Mishawaka. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother, Barrie Barrett.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14 at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home, with Pastor Danny Barrett officiating. Burial will take place in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
