Classical Conversations Invites Community To Drive-In Film Premier

The film will be showed at 1010 Country Club Drive South, Warsaw, on July 17 at dusk (approximately 9:45 p.m.), or July 24 should the 17th be rained out. The venue will only accommodate 75 vehicles. Those interested should arrive early to claim their spot, according to a news release from Classical Conversations.
This film features “captivating videography and intriguing narration of our planet’s water and life within, all from a scientific and Biblical perspective,” according to the release. The director, N.D. Wilson, is a best-selling author of the “100 Cupboards” trilogy as well as the “Ashtown Burials” series. The National Geographic Channel hired him for his camera work and NBC’s Today Show, as well as NPR’s All Things Considered, have both featured his writings.
“Because their first film was so compelling, creative and full of delighting in God’s creation, we were excited to have the opportunity to share their latest film with our community,” said Stephanie Boyd, director of the Foundations and Essentials Programs of Classical Conversations in Warsaw.
The purpose of Classical Conversations is to lead the home-centered education movement by equipping parents and students with the classical, time-tested tools of learning so that they can discover God and His creation, excel academically, think and reason logically, and engage with the world in profound ways, the release states.
“The Riot and the Dance: Water” is a sequel to “The Riot and the Dance: Earth.” These movies are formatted similarly to BBC documentaries, but they invite a view of the world through a biblically scientific lens. The film is narrated by Dr. Gordon Wilson, a senior fellow of Natural History at New Saint Andrew’s College. He wrote a biology textbook, “The Riot and the Dance: Foundational Biology,” and writes regularly for “Answers in Genesis” magazine.
Synergy Partnerships, a Warsaw-based construction company, is partnering with Classical Conversations Warsaw for this event. Sam Yeiter said, “My wife and I are committed to the classical education model, rooted in a biblical worldview. When we were given the opportunity to assist in bringing ‘The Riot and the Dance’ to our community, we jumped at it.”
