Police Arrest Woman On Drug Dealing Charges; Two Others Sought In Case

Holly Nicole Adams, 18, Fort Wayne, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 10:37 a.m. Tuesday for dealing in marijuana in an amount in excess of 30 grams, a Level 6 felony; possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.
Warrants for the arrest of Owen R. Gerig, 18, and Alexander T. Clowser, 18, are active for the same charges.
Adams is accused of being one of four passengers in a vehicle that was caught leaving the scene of the area of Husky Trail and Nature View Drive in Warsaw on Oct. 8 around 12:45 a.m. after a drug deal went bad.
Warsaw police responded to that area for reports of shots fired and an investigation discovered that Russell Harty, 18, of West Noah Street, Claypool, and Naquan Rasheed Williams, 17, of 515 Sophie Lane, Warsaw, had arranged to buy marijuana from the trio from Fort Wayne. Harty allegedly pulled out a gun and he and Williams ordered them to hand over the pot and empty their pockets. During the chaos, Harty allegedly shot Williams and a bullet grazed a juvenile that was with the Fort Wayne trio.
Williams was arrested at Parkview Hospital, Warsaw, after he was treated for his wounds and was charged with robbery with a deadly weapon, a Level 3 felony, and attempted theft, a Class A misdemeanor.
A month-long manhunt led police to Elkhart, where Harty was apprehended hiding in a home. Harty is charged with robbery with a deadly weapon, a Level 3 felony; aggravated battery, a Level 3 felony; criminal recklessness while armed with a deadly weapon, a Level 6 felony; and attempted theft, a Class A misdemeanor.
When police were responding to the scene, they stopped a vehicle leaving the area and found the juvenile, Clowser, Gerig and Adams, along with two plastic containers containing marijuana, three glass smoking devices, empty plastic bags, paper that contained a terminology to distribute illegal drugs and $211 in cash.
At the time, several area schools went on lockdown the day following the shooting.
