Warsaw Gets Conference Wrestling Win Over Minutemen

Warsaw got some key wins late to  get a 37-35 victory over visiting Concord in Northern Lakes Conference wrestling Tuesday.

Warsaw picked up wins from Jose Martinez, Andrew Ross, Brock Hogenson, Liam Nolin, Jacob Linky, Brandon Estepp, Brock Hueber, and Angel Mendez.

In the junior varsity competition, Warsaw won three of four matches. Winners were Bryson Brown, Mario Cortes and William Loeza.

Warsaw (16-4, 4-2 NLC) hosts Goshen on Senior Night Thursday.



Warriors Fall To Eagles

COLUMBIA CITY – Emily Haines had 14 points and Danielle Jenkins 13 and Hannah Lancaster eight points for Wawasee in its 61-52 loss to host Columbia City in a non-conference girls basketball game Tuesday.

In the junior varsity game, Columbia City was a 51-13 winner.

Wawasee (6-12) travels to Elkhart Memorial for a Northern Lakes Conference game Saturday.
