By Staff Report-

INDIANAPOLIS — Dr. Chris Magiera filed with the Indiana Secretary of State for Indiana’s 3rd Congressional District.

In the May 5 Republican primary, Magiera will run against incumbent Jim Banks.

Magiera is a fourth-generation Hoosier who lives in Warsaw  and has been a board-certified gastroenterologist for 37 years, according to a news release from his campaign. He’s also a constitutionalist whose platform consists of protecting all citizen liberties, preventing government overreach and preserving state sovereignty.

Magiera is “committed to upholding the Constitution, securing our borders, defending the Second Amendment, protecting all life and curing the afflictions plaguing our federal government,” the release states.

If elected as Indiana’s 3rd Congressional District representative, Magiera “will constitutionally legislate, not delegate, so you won't have to litigate to reclaim your God-given natural rights and liberties,” according to the release.
