CTB Pledges $1M To Cardinal Services

By Staff Report-

Cardinal Services announced that CTB has pledged a gift of $1 million toward its future home.
“CTB has supported Cardinal Services in many ways throughout more than 45 years of working together,” said Randy Hall, Cardinal Services chief executive officer. “CTB is the largest customer of our manufacturing arm, CCI, and we are proud that this area in our new space will be named in honor of CTB and the ongoing relationship between our two companies.”
Hall explained that last year the manufacturing contract with CTB provided work and an income to 76 people with disabilities. CCI shipped 9.4 million parts to CTB’s Chore-Time and Brock business units last year, with a 0.00 PPM (parts per million) return rate. Those parts were then shipped to customers throughout CTB’s global market.
“CTB is thankful to have a long-standing working relationship with Cardinal Services,” said Victor A. Mancinelli, chairman and chief executive officer of CTB Inc. “Cardinal has been a valuable business partner for CTB. They have greatly enhanced our ability to supply high-quality products that better enable farmers to feed a hungry world.”
“We are honored to assist Cardinal as they build a stronger future,” Mancinelli said. “Cardinal is making a difference for the individuals and families they serve by helping people live purposeful and meaningful lives. In return, those individuals can take pride in the fact that their contributions to CTB’s manufactured products are making a difference on farms all over the world!”
CTB Inc. (www.ctbinc.com) is a leading global designer and maker of systems and solutions for storing, conveying and preserving grain; producing poultry, pigs and eggs; and processing poultry, fish, vegetables and other foods. CTB’s strategy for growth includes best cost manufacturing, a product-driven focus, expanded global physical presence, strategic acquisitions and enhanced financial strength. The Berkshire Hathaway-owned company serves its customers through a worldwide distribution network.
Cardinal Services Inc. of Indiana (www.cardinalservices.org) serves more than 4,300 people each year, providing a full array of services to adults with intellectual disabilities and to families who have small children with needs. Established in 1954, Cardinal’s programs improve quality of life for people by providing development, inclusion and empowerment programs. The mission of Cardinal Services is to assist and advocate for people with disabilities and challenges to live lives full of dignity, growth and opportunity.
