What's Going On?

As we watch major cities locking down their people, bankrupting businesses, destroying their economy, I am bewildered on their motivation. I know the socialist goal is to get as many people possible dependent on the government, but trashing the very economic engine which produces the wealth in your state, your city, just seems a step too far.

I think these states and cities are continuing this destructive, unconstitutional shut down of their economies in hopes of receiving a federal bailout of their mismanaged public pension programs as well as the bloated teacher pension programs. Why should we, the proud citizens of Indiana, with a budget surplus, be on the line for the governmental maleficence of another state?

You will see the news ... a slanted liberal manifestation of the truth. They will present an argument that the Republicans don’t want to give aid to the suffering Americans just trying to save their business as well as their way of life. The truth is that the Republicans are trying to just get an aid package that will help those in need, those Americans that have suffered the most, not an unaffordable omnibus bill to help lift all the liberal mismanaged governments out of the red ink.

I realize my words might ring on deaf ears. I don’t have a business, I don’t have to make a payroll. I do feel that the aid package I speak about should be for the people that do these things. I fear the government, which is about to take over, wish to add these hardworking American citizens to the welfare rolls. They have their own designs on the way this country should look. I think myself lucky to be on the club house turn of my life.

I would hope “We The People” would feel the same desire for freedom that our forefathers felt. We would forgo a monthly handout for a job. We would have the dignity to do what is best for our children.

The American people have accomplished many great things in our history. We’ve defeated the greatest military in the world to attain our independence. We’ve faced the injustice of slavery and buried over 650,000 Americans in the quest for a totally free republic. We’ve moved on to erase the residual racism which continued beyond the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments. We continue to face our shortcomings, knowing that we all have faults. We move on trying to better our society, it is a work in progress.

I remind you that those who stole this last election have very different ideas for this country. We must resist this imposition on our progress for a better country. They wish to divide us, pit us against one another, divide us with identity politics, dumb our kids down and slowly make us comply with their orders. Wear a mask, social distance, stay at home. God forbid we talk to one another about what seems to be going on ... about what is going on!
