James Russell “Jim” DeVore Sr., 81, of Warsaw, passed away at 4:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, at his residence.

He was born on Dec. 11, 1939, in Desloge, Mo., to Marvin Russell and Virginia Ruth Cahoon DeVore.

He graduated from Ripley High School in Ripley, Tenn., and received his Bachelor of Science degree from South East Missouri State in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was married on Nov. 12, 1985, in Stephenville, Texas, to Krin C. Chrisman, who survives. He was a resident of the Warsaw area for the past 35 years. He retired as the general manager/vice president for Midwest Poultry Services in North Manchester after 30+ years.

He is survived by wife, Krin DeVore, of Warsaw; son, James “Russ” (Suzanne) DeVore, of Montana; two grandchildren: Shelby and Haley DeVore; sister, Carol (James) Douglas, of Ripley, Tenn.; beloved Labrador retriever, Annabell.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

No services will be held. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
