For anyone wanting to donate to the family of the man who died Tuesday after being stabbed multiple times, there’s a link for that.

Matthew Lucas, 42, was killed Tuesday at 2501 Westside Drive, Warsaw, after Vickie Wooldridge allegedly stabbed him and two other people multiple times.

Wooldridge is currently incarcerated in the Kosciusko County Jail facing murder charges with no bond set.

For the Lucas family, there is now not only emotional grief but financial hardship.

Tarah Justice, a family friend, said several people have reached out to family members and friends of Lucas asking how they can help and donate. Justice said, with the permission of Lucas’ family, they decided the best thing to do was to set up one, secured way for members of the community to help through a direct link found at TitusFuneralHome.com on Lucas’ obituary page. The goal is to raise $20,000. The money will be used to pay for the funeral services and burial. All donations will be handled directly by the funeral home staff.

Any donations above the $20,000 goal will go to the two other victims involved in the stabbing. Lucas’ stepfather William Burr and his mother, Diane Burr.

“This is a safe place, where you know your morning is going,” Justice said. “Your money is going to the funeral home, and it would directly go into good hands to be able to help take care of things. We all have our Facebook friends, but people we don’t even know are reaching out, and I just thought is there a way we can get this out where everybody can see this versus all of us trying to filter through messages.”

As of Thursday afternoon, more than $2,000 has been raised through the funeral home’s link.
