Born on Oct. 31, 1949, in Warsaw, Rosalee was the daughter of Russell and Peggy Shoemaker Foreman. It was at a grocery store that Rosalee first met Earnest E. Riddle. He eventually became her husband on Nov. 3, 1999, and they made their home in Warsaw before moving to Onaway in 2001.
After 25 years Rosalee retired from RR Donnelley Lakeside Press in Warsaw, where she worked as a production clerk and materials handler. A wonderful homemaker, Rosalee had a specific routine for her household chores and was quite organized. She loved to knit and was continually making blankets, hats, mittens and ponchos to give to her family. She even knitted a Santa Claus and teddy bears. She loved taking walks each day and though she missed being away from her family in Indiana, enjoyed the peaceful quiet living of Northern Michigan. Strong in her Christian faith, Rosalee read her Bible often and was a member of Joy Community Church.
Surviving Rosalee is her husband of 21 years, Earnie Riddle, of Onaway, Mich.; daughters, Amanda (Ryan) Hills and Geri (Chris) Hurd; stepdaughter, Valerie Riddle; stepson, Randall Riddle; as well as 11 grandchildren: Michael (Kayla) Farner, Tyler (Tiffany) Humphries, Nathan Horn, Nichole (Jose) Marval, Gracelyn Hills, Kiley Helblig, Rebecca Roose, Jared Hurd, Kaitlyn Hurd, Emily (Justin) Gray and Katie Riddle; 10 great-grandchildren: Quentin, Benjamin, Anabella, Camila, Dominic, Danica, Aleavia, Ayla, Blakely and Dakota. Rosalee also leaves her brothers, Russell (Vickie) Foreman, Tony Foreman and Nick (Ron) Foreman.
Preceding Rosalee in death were her parents; a sister, Beverly Pettit; and brother, Kenneth Foreman.
Cremation arrangements are in care of Chagnon Funeral Home, Onaway, Mich. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
