Webster Man Arrested For Stabbing
By Amanda Bridgman-
Jordan Dale Nieman, 24, of 206 E. Washington St., North Webster, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 3:37 p.m. Monday and faces charges for battery while armed with a deadly weapon, a Level 5 felony; and criminal recklessness while armed with a deadly weapon, a Level 6 felony.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed Nov. 17 in Kosciusko Superior Court I, on Oct. 21 Syracuse police officers responded to a Dollar General store in reference to a stabbing.
Upon arrival, police were told by employees that the stabbing victim was in the back of the store.
Police found a man who was bleeding from the back of his head and from his upper left thigh, according to the affidavit. When police spoke with the victim, according to court papers, he told police that he and his girlfriend were walking into the store when another man, later identified as Nieman, was looking at them weirdly. When the victim asked Nieman if he had a problem, Nieman allegedly said “no, b****” and then pushed the man into a vehicle and began stabbing him in the leg, according to court papers.
The man’s girlfriend then tried to pull Nieman off of her boyfriend, then Nieman fled in a vehicle.
Another witness at the scene followed the vehicle, according to court papers, and police located it in a nearby trailer park.
Police identified Nieman through store video surveillance footage, according to the affidavit, along with the victim and witnesses identifying Nieman in a lineup.
His bond was set at $10,250.
