Jerry and Vicki Martin will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday.

Jerry Martin and the former Vicki Bowen were united in marriage on Dec. 11, 1970, at North Manchester United Methodist Church by the Rev. Carl Baker.

Jerry was employed at RR Donnelley & Sons from 1965 to 2006. His “retirement jobs” included a groundskeeper at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club and operating the Lake City Bank truck. He enjoys golfing and attending car shows.

Vicki was employed at Indiana Lawrence Bank from 1970 to 1975 and Lake City Bank from 1981 to 2015. She is an active member of Altrusa and is on the board for Beaman Home. Vicki enjoys reading and is a talented cake decorator.

Jerry and Vicki enjoy cruising on Tippecanoe Lake and relaxing on the beach in Cocoa Beach, Fla., together. The Martins are members of Leesburg United Methodist Church, where they are part of several committees.

They are blessed with a daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Keith Everest, and are the proud grandparents of Eva Everest. Mimi and Papa can always be found cheering Eva on at all her volleyball or basketball games and 4-H shows.
