Lane’s Hat Trick Propels Lakeland Christian To Win At O-D

HAMLET – Brayden Lane scored in the ninth, 32nd and 69th minute of Class 1A No. 19 Lakeland Christian’s 4-0 win at Oregon Davis in a non-conference boys soccer match Saturday.

Garrett McKeever added a goal in the 30th minute after assisting on Lane’s first score. The Cougars outshot Oregon Davis 15-5 with Peter Koller as the winning goalkeeper.

“I've been pleased with Brayden Lane's ability to create dangerous scoring opportunities this season,” said Cougar head coach Dan Miller. “We needed to possess the ball better today than we did, but I'm happy with the four goals.

“Defensively this is our first shutout of the year, and we will need to continue to play solid defense in the coming week.”

Now 3-1 on the season, Lakeland Christian plays at Winamac Tuesday.
