SOUTH WHITLEY – David Ousley won in three sets at No. 1 singles, leading Whitko to a 4-1 win over visiting Columbia City in a non-conference boys tennis match Monday.

Aiden Hoffman and Bryce Tucker won at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively. Jackson Hollenbaugh and Blake Schroeder also got a stright-set win at No. 1 doubles for the Wildcats.

Whitko will host Fort Wayne Wayne for a non-conference match Wednesday.

WABASH – Kylie Hathaway led Whitko with a 49, helping the Wildcat girls golf team to a 207-215 Three Rivers Conference girls golf win at Wabash’s Honeywell Golf Club Monday.

Annie Cole was the medalist for Wabash, posting a 47.

Next up for the Wildcats is a four-way TRC match with host North Miami, Tippecanoe Valley and Manchester on Thursday.

Squires Compete With N. Miami

PERU – Manchester and North Miami faced off in a girls golf match Monday, with North Miami competing with less than a full team.

Kayla Hippensteel and Alexis Gearhart each posted 58s for the Squires. Delani Henderson and Chaynee Tennant turned in 64s and Emma Ulrey had a 66.

“We hung in there tonight and had some strong finishes despite not our best results,” said Manchester coach Josh Troyer. “I am proud of how the girls continue to battle through struggles during the round to post the best result they have for the night."

The two teams meet again Thursday at Peru Municipal Golf Course, joined by Three Rivers Conference teams Whitko and Tippecanoe Valley.

Get To Know The Team: Warsaw Captains Q&A
Earlier this week, I had the privilege of going to a Warsaw football practice and speaking with four of the team’s five captains. Each of the four players were asked the same eight questions. Below are each of their answers.
