Vikings Victorious In TRC?Opener
ROCHESTER – Tippecanoe Valley girls golf earned a 213-318 win over visiting Northfield in a Three Rivers Conference match Thursday at Round Barn Golf Club.
Madelyn Weaver paced the Vikings with a 44. Kaydence Mellott and Molly Moriarty each shot 56, Cheney Canada had a 57 and Lily Ault a 61.
Next up for Valley is a four-way match with Bremen, LaVille and host Plymouth Monday at Pretty Lake Golf Club.
Squire Golf Edges Peru
NORTH MANCHESTER – In its opening match of the Three Rivers Conference girls golf season, Manchester edged visiting Peru 248-250 Thursday at Sycamore Golf Club.
Kayla Hippensteel led Manchester with a 52, followed by Alexis Gearhart at 63. Emma Ulrey posted a 65, Chaynee Tennant a 68 and Delani Henderson a 69 for the Squires.
Manchester returns to action Saturday at the Wabash County Tournament at Honeywell Golf Club in Wabash. First tee in the shotgun start is set for 9 a.m.
