He was born on Nov. 22, 1924, in Oswego, to Lunettie Olive Lippincott Teeple and Lester Isaac Teeple.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army on Dec. 4, 1942, and proudly served during World War II. He married Gwendolyn Mae Kreider at New Salem Church on Nov. 7, 1948. She died July 12, 2020.
Wayne’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, and officiated by his son, Pastor Jack Teeple, and son-in-law, Jeff Carroll. There will be two hours of visitation prior to the service from 9 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Leesburg Cemetery in Leesburg with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post #49, V.F.W. #1126 both of Warsaw, and active duty members of the Army Honor Guard.
