Loretta Mae Stump, of Grace Village Retirement Community in Winona Lake, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 7:28 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020, at Grace Village Healthcare at the age of 94.

She was born on Feb. 2, 1926, in Warsaw, to Emma Louella Jones Parson and Forrest Franklin Parsons. On Nov. 16, 1942, she was married to William Amos Stump Sr. They shared 62 years of marriage together before he passed away on Jan. 6, 2005.

She was a longtime member of Abundant Life Assembly of God in Warsaw, where she was a Sunday school teacher for 17 years. One of her personal ministries was corresponding and sending cards. In her youth, Loretta enjoyed bowling, and throughout her life she loved to cook and going to her big family get togethers. Many years ago she had worked as a cook for Penguin Point in Warsaw for 14 years and was a former member of the Women’s Life Insurance Society. She lived a long and full life of 94 years and witnessed so many changes in the world. Loretta loved her family dearly and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.      

She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Lorwill (Lonnie) Coffing, of Pierceton; and Marlane Baker, of Pierceton; and two sons:?William (Diana) Stump, of Warsaw; and Joseph H. (Pat) Stump, of Pierceton. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister; and one brother.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. Loretta’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Anthony Green and Pastor Glen Mitchell. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Hillcrest Cemetery of Pierceton.
