Stafford’s Buys 400 Gift Cards To Local Restaurants To Give Away Saturday

“We’re going to be giving away 400 $25 gift cards,” said Jim Stafford.
While Stafford’s purchased the 400 gift cards, American Table, Subway, Penguin Point and Pizza Hut on North Detroit Street are throwing in additional sponsorship to make each gift card $30.
Arby’s – the location on Ind. 15 only – will be giving away coupons for free roast beef sandwiches and french fries.
The giveaway starts at noon Saturday at Stafford’s, 904 E. Pound Drive North, Warsaw, and will go until all the gift cards are gone. They are first come, first served and there is a limit of one gift card per vehicle.
“We want to offer a $200 North Pointe Cinemas gift card, also, but people have got to sign up for that (drawing),” Jim said. “Everybody needs help a little bit. We’ve been fortunate.”
Anyone wanting to participate in the drawing will have to fill out a ticket at Saturday’s giveaway before they leave.
The coronavirus pandemic and the stay-at-home executive order by Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb in late March has led many businesses to close, at least temporarily, while restaurants and bars can only offer drive-through or pick-up service only. Many people have either been laid off or lost their jobs.
Diane Stafford said, “We wanted to give back to the community because we’ve been very fortunate through this time. In this time of need, we wanted to give back to the community.”
She said those handing out the gift cards on Saturday will be wearing gloves and masks. There is road construction going on in the area, so drivers should be aware of that and drive carefully.
Stafford’s Solid Waste celebrated 27 years in business in February. It is a trash and recycling company with 19 employees that serves Kosciusko, Marshall and Fulton counties and the lower part of Elkhart County.
“We’ve been blessed and we want to help give back to the community,” Jim said.
