NORTH MANCHESTER – Rosco Howard, 87, Pierceton, passed away at 3 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2020, in Warsaw.

He was born March 17, 1933, in Salyersville, Ky., to the late Bass and Dollie Allen Howard. On May 7, 1954, in Salyersville, Ky., he married Nora Conley. She died Feb. 18, 1990. On March 16, 1996, in the Free United Baptist Church, Sidney, he married Bernice Wright Taylor. She died April 12, 2005.

Rosco was a timber buyer and logger for 43 years, owning his own business, and a farmer, never really retiring. He was an avid fisherman and squirrel hunter. He was a member of the Free United Baptist Church, Sidney. He loved his church and his family.

Survivors include his sons, Wayne (Ramona) Howard, Pierceton; and Ralph Howard, Pierceton; daughters, Pauline (James) Hoover, Pierceton; and Lena (Roger) West, Pierceton; brother, Monroe (Mimia) Howard, Printer, Ky.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his three sons: Timothy, Randall and Eddie Howard; three brothers: Sammy Howard, Cisco Howard and Lonzo Howard; and four sisters: Essalonia Howard, Virgie Hale, Betty Allen and Arizonia Mullins.

Arrangements are entrusted to McKee Mortuary, North Manchester.
