The Constitution Solution

The fear is palpable. Uncertainty is the rule. Trust is a scarce commodity. Will things get worse?

Unlike Pearl Harbor or 9/11, this enemy did not swoop out of the skies with weapons of destruction. However, just like those two days, America was caught off guard. Again, we find ourselves in a serious state of shock and injury. How could this happen to the United States of America, the most powerful and prosperous republic on the planet? Whose fault is it?

Quite honestly, it happened because our federal government has been distorted to such a degree by over 120 years of progressive agenda manipulation that it has become, in the language of systems analysis, a “Single Point of Failure” (SPOF).

But do not despair. There is a way out of this catastrophe, and I also offer a plan to prevent its recurrence: the Constitution Solution.

The Founders were a very wise group. They knew history well. They knew human nature well. They firmly believed that governments were instituted among men, deriving their powers from the consent of the governed, in order to secure our God-given natural rights: life, liberty, property and the right to defend those to the best of our abilities. They designed our constitutional republic to have intrinsic back-up systems and fail-safe properties. It was known as a “federal” system: local, state and general governments, interconnected and operating toward a common goal.

Accordingly, the general government was granted only few and defined powers, primarily external in nature: war, peace, negotiations and foreign commerce. All other powers, which would pertain to internal matters, were reserved to the states or to the people, the ultimate sovereigns (Amendment X). The new government was to be a republic, a rule of laws, not a democracy, which is a rule of men. Democracies, as they had observed, tended to degenerate into oligarchies or monarchies.

Today, the American people are suffering terribly: physically, economically and emotionally. Our republic was founded on the principle of self-governance and individual responsibility. It is unjust and immoral for governments at any level to utilize fear in order to drive “We the People” into submission. Band-aids, even trillion dollar Band-aids, which in this case were largely unconstitutional, are only short-lived cover-ups for the pains of the American people. They deserve a permanent cure, not more “government opioid” palliation. We need to exit this road to serfdom, now.

In the 2020 elections, the voters should demand a rebuilding of our republic according to the original intent of the Founders’ Constitution. They should demand the reinstitution of a true “federal” system, with complimentary local, state and central components, replete with intrinsic redundancies, fail-safes, and robust checks and balances. These United States of America are a “union” of sovereign peoples and states, not a “nation” in the old European sense.

The voters should seek, as stated in Federalist 57, “to obtain for rulers men who possess most wisdom to discern, and most virtue to pursue, the common good of society.” And, according to Article 6, Section 3 of the Constitution, these representatives of the people “shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution.” That means 100% support, and not a point less.

In order to keep America safe and prosperous, we must keep America constitutional. Do this not just for yourselves, but for your children, your grandchildren and the millions yet unborn.

In the upcoming 2020 primary and general elections, vote for the Constitution Solution.
