Paul and Kay Meredith Brouyette, Akron, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today.

The couple were married April 24, 1970, in North Manchester by the Rev. J.F. Baldwin.

Both are currently retired with Paul having worked as a regional manager for Nickles Bakery and Kay as a library assistant at Akron Elementary School.

The couple have three children: Chad (Leslie) Brouyette, Claypool; Craig (Michelle) Brouyette, Rochester; and Lindsey Brouyette, Silver Lake. They have seven grandchildren: Evan, Meredith, Cade, Madalyn, Avery, Molly and Aiden.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no public celebration will be held.

Kathleen N. Anderson-Takacs, 84, of Pierceton, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. Kathy was born on Aug. 14, 1940, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Darwin and Jane Gibson. On April 17, 2004, she married Bill Takacs in Gatlinburg, Tenn., who survives.

FOL To Host Pop-Up Book Sale
