They were married Oct. 3,1969, at Bourbon Church of Christ with the Rev. John Reid officiating.
Both are retired.
They have four children, Laurie Irwin, Etna Green; the late Troy Irwin; Christopher and Danyelle Irwin, Etna Green; and Michael and Ashlee (Irwin) Faulkner, Bourbon. They also have five grand children: Gavin, Allee, Declin, Teddy and Ruby.
A private celebration will take place at a later date with family and friends.
