Altrusa club members have been coordinating the annual Bingo for Beaman Home during Domestic Violence Month each year.

This year's event will be Oct. 17 at the Winona Heritage Room in Winona Lake. Tickets are available at the Beaman Home. Members are shown in the photo along with Beaman Home's Executive Director Jennifer Hayes, and just a few of the prizes for this year's Bingo.

Club members welcomed Jennifer to our Sept. 5 club meeting. She shared some success stories and explained that the Beaman Home has a full house right now so they are very busy. In addition, 65 clients per week are meeting with their mental health counselors as part of their outreach services which include clients from not only Kosciusko County but also Marshall and Fulton Counties.

Their services are now also available in Spanish.  Federal funding for many organizations including theirs are being cut over the next two years. The impact on Beaman Home is about $125,000 annually.  If you are able, donations would be very welcome to offset this loss.
