Rain Wipes Out Several Area High School Sporting Events

Several Times-Union area high school sporting events were rained out Thursday. Here’s a list along with any makeup date:

Girls Golf

• Warsaw at Manchester

• West Noble at Whitko

• Culver Academies at Triton

Boys Tennis

• Cass at Tippecanoe Valley

• Northridge at Wawasee (today)

• Whitko at Manchester

Boys Soccer

• Eastbrook at Manchester

Girls Soccer

• Manchester at Eastbrook



Warrior VB Swept By RedHawks

SYRACUSE – Visiting Goshen earned a 28-26, 25-19, 25-22 volleyball sweep of Wawasee in Northern Lakes Conference action at the Hardwood Tepee.

Liz Kleopfer had 10 assists and five kills for Wawasee. Emma Dippn had eight kills, Dylan Konieczny had five kills, Madi Simmons had 11 digs and three aces and Kai Jamira had 13 assists for the Warriors.

“Goshen is a good team, but we hurt ourselves again tonight,” Wawasee head coach Jeff Phillips said.

Wawasee won the junior varsity match 25-10, 22-25, 15-13. Delaney hare had six digs and four aces, Amber Beer had five kills and Laney Gross had nine assists in the winning effort.

Wawasee will host Westview in a non-conference match Monday.

7th Grade Volleyball

Lakeview def. Edgewood

21-25, 25-17, 15-9

Lakeview (8-1) – Daihya Chupp, 4 aces, 4 kills, 5 assists, 6 digs; Maggie Hollon, 10 kills, 6 digs.



No. 11 Lakewood Park Blanks Cougars

WINONA LAKE – Class 1A No. 11 Lakewood Park Christian held host Lakeland Christian Academy without a shot on goal in a 6-0 victory over the Cougars Thursday.

LCA (4-3) will travel to Caston for a match Saturday.
