SYRACUSE – Phyllis Lorrene Fackler, 84, of Syracuse, passed away at 2:18 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, at Avalon Village Healthcare in Ligonier.

She was born on March 12, 1935, in Noble County, to Harry George and Catherine Maxine Lingofelter Fackler.

She was a lifetime Syracuse area resident and attended New Paris schools. She retired from Syracuse Dry Cleaners after 22 years and formerly worked for Martha Ruch for 22 years and Golden Cleaners in Syracuse.

She formerly attended Calvary United Methodist Church and Church of the Brethren, both in Syracuse, and the Milford Christian Church.

She is survived by brother, James Fackler, of Syracuse; two nieces, Karen (Randy) Gill and Sarah Wright; two nephews, Jeff (Lori) Fackler and Tim (Nina) Wright; two great-nieces, Catherine Fackler and Marci Gill; and two great-nephews, Dylan and Grant Gill.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sharon Wright.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the funeral home with pastor and nephew Jeff Fackler officiating. Burial will take place in the Syracuse Cemetery.
