Triton Volleyball Gets Conference Win Over Culver Community

CULVER – Jaela Faulkner had nine digs and four aces, and Lexiua Hostrawser added seven kills and a block for Triton in its 25-16, 25-8, 25-14 win at Culver Community in Hoosier North Athletic Conference volleyball Thursday.

Emma Hepler had 12 assists, Molly McFarland had 14 digs and Dylanie Miller 4 aces for the Lady Trojans.

Triton’s junior varsity won 25-14, 25-8 over the Lady Cavaliers.

The Lady Trojans will return to Culver Saturday, this time to play Culver Academies in non-conference action.



No. 11 Warsaw Beats Luers

HUNTERTOWN – Class 3A No. 11 Warsaw scored four first-half goals in the first half on its way to a 6-0 win over Fort Wayne Luers in tournament play at Carroll High School

The Tigers will take on Homestead in the tournament Saturday morning.



Squires Down Vikings

NORTH MANCHESTER – Beletu Stout and Emma Garriott each score for Manchester in its 2-0 non-conference girls soccer win over visiting Huntington North at Good Field Thursday.

The Lady Squires are off until Thursday when they will travel to rural Marion for a match with Eastbrook.



Valley Rolls Past Lancers

LAKEVILLE – Winning handily at all three singles spots, and benefitting from forfeits at both doubles spots, visiting Tippecanoe Valley took a 5-0 non-conference boys tennis win at LaVille Thursday.

The Vikings’ Payton Mills won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles over Zach Rutherford. Dylan Neese won 6-4, 6-0 over Kyle Walker at the No. 2 position, and Owen Kirchenstein blanked David Clayton at the No. 3 spot.

On Tuesday, Valley travels to Bourbon to take on Triton for a non-conference match.



Lady Tiger Golf Splits

ELKHART – Warsaw split a pair of Northern Lakes Conference girls golf matches Thursday, falling to host Concord 191-197 and bettering Goshen’s 221.

Scores for the Lady Tigers were: Delaney Byron, 46; Grayson Kilburn, 48; Sydney Lancaster, 51; Marie Frazzetta, 52; and Bethany Johnson, 64.

The Lady Tigers (9-5, 3-4 NLC) will play Manchester at Sycamore Golf Club on Thursday.



Oak Hill Edges Lady Squires

MARION – Sam Kissell paced Manchester with a 9-hole total of 41 in the Lady Squires’ 200-207 loss to host Oak Hill in a non-conference girls golf match Thursday at Arbor Trace Golf Club.

Alissa Bickerstaff abnd Kayla Hippensteel each shot 50, with Delani Henderson shooting a 66 and Chaynee Tennant a 69.

Manchester (5-5) is off until Thursday when it will host Warsaw.



LCA Falls To Argos

WINONA LAKE – Parker Stewart scored on a penalty kick, but it was the Cougars’ lone goal in Lakeland Christian Academy’s 6-1 loss to visiting Argos Thursday.

LCA?(3-2) will host Lakewood Park Christian Thursday.



Triton Drops 2 Matches

WABASH – Triton dropped a pair of non-conference girls golf matches Thursday at Honeywell Golf Club. Host Northfield posted a 205 to North Miami’s 243 and Triton’s 266.

Scores for the Trojans were Maddie Ritchison, 59; Lily Hubert, 63; Hayley Rensberger, 71 and Haley Hooley, 73.

Triton and West Central will play at North Judson Tuesday.



Concord Blanks Wawasee

SYRACUSE – Concord beat Wawasee 5-0 in a Northern Lakes Conference boys tennis match Thursday.

On Saturday, the Warriors will host their Super Duals tournament.
