Unresponsive Man Found On McKenna Road Dead, ID’d As 20-Year-Old Indy Man

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office has identified Ty Sawyer Lee Brown, 20, Indianapolis, as the deceased man discovered on McKenna Road Monday morning.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office, and the manner and cause of Brown’s death are pending results of an autopsy being conducted at the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center, a KCSO news release states.

A person called 911 around 5 a.m. Monday that an unresponsive man was lying on McKenna Road near JT’s Lakeside Campground, formerly known as Pic-A-Spot Campground.

It was determined that the man left the Barbee Landing on foot, heading west, around 2:30 a.m., according to police.

Police are asking anyone with home security footage in the area, or anyone with any information regarding this investigation, to contact Det. Sgt. Josh Spangle or Det. Neil Likens at 574-267-5667.
