A Warsaw woman is dead and a man is in jail for reckless homicide after a shooting Tuesday.

The deceased woman was identified as Heather M. Emelio, 34.

The suspect in the incident, Kyle D. Shaw, 34, has been booked into the Kosciusko County Jail.

The Warsaw Police Department, along with first responders, responded to a call of a gunshot wound at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at 920 Anchorage Road, Lot 94, in Shamrock Trailer Park.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel found Emelio, according to a news release from the WPD.

The firearm used in the incident was recovered and secured by the WPD. The release states there are no other suspects in the case. It is an active and ongoing investigation, and no other information will be released at this time.
